Moving to North Carolina
The state of North Carolina is bounded by the Atlantic Ocean and by South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. Capital City: The state's capital is Raleigh, one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S.-just one of the cities pushing the North Carolina moving companies industry. People come to Raleigh because it is driven by great people. In Downtown Raleigh is the historic section of the city where buildings such as the Sir Walter Raleigh Hotel and the Fayetteville business district can be found. In Midtown Raleigh, you can find more residential and commercial sectors just before Upper Raleigh's area of commerce including the Crabtree Valley Mall.

Economy: In North Carolina, agricultural outputs of poultry, eggs, tobacco, hogs, milk, cattle and the state vegetable-sweet potatoes-are doing well. The manufacturing sector in North Carolina-a national trend-has been affected by jobs lost to outsourcing to places like China or other places overseas. North Carolina's big cities such as Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro still see loads of people moving to North Carolina and economic growth, but the small towns are suffering from the opposite effect.

  • You can find the world's most pleasant-sounding lake in North Caroline. It's the White Lake near Elizabethtown where there's a white sandy bottom, crystal clear waters, and very inviting to children because there are no currents, tides or hazardous depressions in the water.

  • In North Carolina, you can find one of the largest state-maintained highway systems in the country with roads spanning 77,400 miles.

  • Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Venus Fly Traps are native to North Carolina.
