NFL coach Sean Payton has eye on Vaquero

March 8, 2011 - Reports say New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton has leased the former home of New York Yankees slugger Mark Teixiera, completing his relocation to the Dallas area.

Located in the exclusive community of Vaquero, Teixiera first listed the 8,500-square-foot home, in which he lived while playing baseball for the Texas Rangers, in 2008 before signing a $180 million contract with the Yankees. It has sat on the market ever since, though the lease agreement with Payton will at least allow him to collect rent. For his part, Payton said he will be commuting from the home while remaining head coach of New Orleans' professional football franchise.

The home itself is loaded with luxurious amenities, including a gourmet kitchen, a massive game room and a two-level office, according to Zillow.com. The outdoor area includes a swimming pool, spa, covered patio, outdoor kitchen and fire pit. Payton can also seek membership in the community's exclusive Vaquero Club, which provides tennis lessons, an on-call decorator and pet sitting services, the site said.

Vaquero is located within Westlake, which was named the most affluent community in the country by a recent Forbes Magazine report. It's a popular area among celebrities and athletes moving to the Dallas area.
