Nicole Kidman relocating to New York's Chelsea district

August 16, 2010 - Everyone loves a discount - even celebrities who are moving into a multi-million dollar penthouse.

Celebrity spouses Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban were able to purchase a $12.5-million luxury condominium located in Manhattan's Chelsea district for just $10 million, reported the New York Post. Their building, located at 200 Eleventh Avenue, comes with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms and an eye-catching "sky garage" that is a first for New York City, according to Prudential Douglas Elliman Real Estate. The garage works much like an elevator: the driver's car is lifted from ground level to a 300-square-foot parking area on their unit's floor.

At 3,248 square feet, the two-level condo also includes two terraces with expansive views of North and East New York, according to the Prudential listing. Downstairs, the living and dining areas are lighted with massive windows that provide a view of the Hudson River. Kidman and Urban will also be able to enjoy their own private outdoor area and elevator. Their neighbors include fashion guru Domenico Dolce, who owns two penthouses in the building, reported AOL Real Estate.

While moving their pricey belongings in, the couple would benefit from purchasing moving insurance.
