Regis Philbin downsizing for retirement

July 1, 2011 - Television personality Regis Philbin is in need of a moving company. That is because the retiring host has put his Greenwich, Connecticut, home back on the real estate market, accordiing to Curbed. 

The home is described by Sotheby's Realty, the real estate agents handling the listing, as a "private country house" and is situated on a cul-de-sac. With four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms, the home is roomy without being overly expansive.

A winding staircase in the home's entryway leads to the second floor master suite, which has two private bathrooms. A spacious kitchen, formal dining room, library and wet bar round out the interior amenities. Outside, prospective homebuyers will find a swimming pool, tennis court, gazebo and lush New England gardens, the source reports.

The New York native and his wife Joy purchased the estate 20 years ago, and are now looking to sell for $3.8 million, according to The Wall Street Journal. The Notre Dame graduate will be retiring from his morning hosting gig in November, a position he has held in some respect since 1970, according to IMDB.
