Woods "excited" for new Jupiter Island home

March 21, 2011 - The final touches are being put on Tiger Woods' new estate in ultra-exclusive Jupiter Island, Florida, and the golfer said he's looking forward to his relocation.

In a blog post on his website, Woods said he's excited that in a short while he'll be moving into his new home. At the same time, he's even more eager to take advantage of the wealth of amenities he'll have at his fingertips at his property's new practice facility.

"It's phenomenal," Woods wrote. "Working with my team, I designed the short-game facility and oversaw its construction. It features four greens, six bunkers with different depths and kinds of sand, a video center and a putting studio. If no wind is blowing, the longest club I can hit is a 7-iron. It's also set up so I can hit shots out of my second-story studio."

Woods' website adds that he designed the facility with an eye toward replicating tournament-style playing scenarios. The training grounds sits on a 3.5-acre plot that his company, Tiger Woods Design, molded into a state-of-the-art facility meant to hone his mid-range and short-game.

Woods won't have much time to enjoy his property after he's done unpacking his moving boxes. The golfer's busy schedule in the coming months includes a trip to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March and Master's Tournament at Augusta National in April.
