Renowned designer Robert Rodriguez parting with Beverly Hills mansion

May 3, 2012 - Realtor.com reports that fashion designer Robert Rodriguez is selling his home in Beverly Hills. Public records show the home last sold back in 2009 for $4.9 million, while the current listing shows an asking price of $9.998 million.

Rodriguez is best known for his popular clothing lines including Black Label, Robbi and Nikki and the self-titled Robert Rodriguez. His high-priced collections are available at upscale department stores including Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus.

The site says the Spanish-style estate was built in 1929 and sits on just under a half acre of land offering 7,125 square feet of living space including three bedrooms and five bathrooms. The listing notes the home is in a gated community, offering those moving boxes into the celebrity neighborhood plenty of security.

Other upgrades throughout the home include a spiral staircase, a two-story breakfast room, a library and custom marble in the bathrooms. While it has not been reported where Rodriguez is relocating to, he may have a hard time parting with his lavish home in California.
