Iconic singer Barry Manilow still trying to sell Malibu beach house

May 1, 2012 - Real estate sites report that legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow has relisted his home in Malibu. Records show he purchased the home back in 2002 for $3.85 million and originally listed the property for sale in 2009 with a $12.6 million asking price.

Since the initial listing, the home's price has been reduced to $10.9 million, $9.15 million, and then $7.99 million before being pulled from the market. It has now reappeared with a $6.9 million price tag.

Manilow is well-known for songs including Could It Be Magic and Mandy and has sold more than 80 million records across the globe.

The Contemporary-style estate offers 33,546 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, as well as a separate guest house that is located across the home's courtyard. Some notable features of the home that should have buyers calling for movers include vaulted ceilings, limestone flooring throughout and floor-to-ceiling glass windows with views of the ocean.

It has yet to be reported where Manilow is relocating to, but he may find it hard to part with the beach.
