Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe buys another NY home

March 23, 2011 - Film star Daniel Radcliffe has recently signed on his third New York City home, telling reporters he's quite comfortable after his recent relocation to the West Village.

Radcliffe - the headlining star of the blockbuster "Harry Potter" film series - paid $6.4 million for the five-bedroom townhouse, which he shares with his girlfriend. Built in 1847, the West Village home is just the most recent New York property Radcliffe has added to his expanding portfolio. He also owns a $4.8 million property on Mercer Street which he rents out for $4,800 per week. He was living in a $5.6 million apartment in TriBeCa but recently packed his moving boxes at that location, according to reports.

He told MTV News he enjoys living in the big city, which offers him the type of anonymity rare for the star of a major Hollywood franchise.

"I love it, because it's possible to be kind of anonymous," Radcliffe told the source. "I'm 5-foot-5, and I'll wear a big parka and put the hood up, and nobody gives me a second glance."

Radcliff currently stars in the Broadway production "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," and in the eighth and final installment of the Harry Potter series, which is due out this summer.
