Ellen DeGeneres moving to Malibu

December 21, 2011 - Comedian Ellen DeGeneres is moving into a $12 million mini-mansion in Malibu, previously owned by Brad Pitt. Pitt purchased the home for $8.41 million in 2005 and listed it in August this year at $13.75 million. DeGeneres and her wife actress Portia De Rossi listed their former home in Beverly Hills in November for $49 million, downsizing by nearly 10,000 square feet.

DeGeneres is best known for her hosting abilities, including hosting the Academy Awards and her own television talk show. The Ellen DeDeneres Show has been nominated and won multiple Daytime Emmy awards while she has won Emmy awards for other roles and shows.

The home has 4,088 square feet of living space including four bedrooms and four bathrooms, as well as some spectacular ocean views. Other features of the home include a tennis court, a pool, a private beach and a separate guest home.

It has not been reported which home will receive moving boxes packed with Pitt and Jolie's belongings, but source say Degeneres and De Rossi are ready to move in.
