Chris Noth seeks apartment near Broadway

March 16, 2011 - Veteran actor Chris Noth - most famous for his roles as Mr. Big on "Sex in the City" and on "Law and Order" - is moving to a new apartment in near Manhattan's theater district.

The New York Post reported Noth will be renting a two-bedroom duplex near Lincoln Center. Noth will pay roughly $9,000 per month to rent the penthouse unit, which he will share with his fiancée, Tara Wilson, and their 3-year-old son Orion Christopher.

Earlier reports said the actor had considered renting a Park Avenue apartment owned by Rachel Uchitel - the woman most famous for being romantically tied to Tiger Woods a year ago. However, the Post says Noth preferred the Lincoln Center apartment for its close proximity to Manhattan's theater district, where he will be appearing in the play "That Championship Season." The location was a major selling point for the actor, said the report.

The critically-acclaimed play, which also stars Jason Patric, Brian Cox, Kiefer Sutherland and Jim Gaffigan, focuses on five men reminiscing on the shared memory of the championship-winning season of their high school days and reflecting on the divergent paths their lives have taken ever since.
