Chris Bosh moving to new Miami mansion

October 6, 2010 - Basketball superstar Chris Bosh will be moving into a new beachside Miami home, just in time for the start of the NBA season.

One of the newest stars of the Miami Heat, Bosh had been home shopping in Miami for months before finally settling on a mansion on North Bay Road, reports AOL Real Estate. The star was even able to buy the home for a substantial discount. The home was listed at $16 million and he only paid $12.5 million, said the report.

Real estate agent Lourdes Alatriste told the site that timing was the main reason Bosh was able to secure the home for a lower price. Bosh was able to close on his transaction ahead of a few competing offers from other interested families, allowing him the opportunity of moving into a clean, modern home on Miami Beach.

The home's high ceilings should comfortably accommodate the near-seven-foot tall Bosh, and he will also likely enjoy its state-of-the-art entertainment room and waterfront location. Bosh will also be moving in among a number of other famous residents, including baseball star Alex Rodriguez and actor Matt Damon, said the report.

Bosh is moving to Miami from Toronto, after spending seven years as the main star for the Raptors. He will join fellow superstars LeBron James and Dwyane Wade on the Miami Heat when they kickoff their season later this month against the Boston Celtics.
