Soccer star Landon Donovan selling California home

July 5, 2012 - After recently being named the Major League Soccer Player of the Week, news sources are buzzing that Landon Donovan is selling his home in Manhattan Beach. While public records show it was first listed back in 2010 for $4.75 million, it has reappeared on the market with a $4.295 million asking price.

Donovan has been a star player for the Los Angeles Galaxy since 2005 and earned the title of U.S. Soccer Athlete of the Year in four consecutive years.

The property, located in Manhattan Beach, was built in 2007 and has two homes including a main house with 5,715 square feet of living space with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Other notable features of the house include wide-plank hardwood flooring, custom ironwork and vaulted ceilings.

The second home on the property was constructed in 2008 and offers a 300-bottle wine cellar, a home theater and an in-home gym.

While it has not been reported where he will be relocating to, it is likely that he will remain in Southern California throughout the soccer season.
