Former CT home of Ed Sullivan appears on the market for sale

October 1, 2012 - Famous entertainer Ed Sullivan may have passed away decades ago, but he continues to have an influence on the Hollywood community and now, the real estate market.

Celebrity sites report buyers can begin moving boxes into his former country Colonial-style home located in Southbury, Connecticut after paying the $460,000 asking price. Public records show the home was originally listed back in July with a higher asking price of $480,000, however, it was later removed and relisted multiple times. It was last sold in 2008 for $520,000, though sources note it had previously remained in the family since the 1970s.

With two acres of land, the home offers plenty of privacy, which the New York native may have not been used to. The house offers 3,562 square feet of living space including four bedrooms, three bathrooms and numerous upgraded features. Some notable parts of the house include a completely renovated kitchen, a large stone fireplace, wood-beamed ceilings and slate flooring throughout.

It shouldn't be long before someone is calling for moving services, as the home offers a great amount of Hollywood history at a reasonable price for the size of the house.
