Homebuyers can now move into Dennis Quaid's home for less

June 3, 2011 - Dennis Quaid first put his Pacific Palisades estate on the real estate market in March, but the actor has now chopped the price of the home, according to the Zillow Blog.

Both Dennis and his brother Randy caught the Hollywood bug while living in their hometown of Houston, Texas. Quaid dropped out of high school to pursue a career, and after a few false starts, began gaining recognition in the early 1980s. Now, The Day After Tomorrow star is set to star in the upcoming remake of Footloose, among other projects, according to IMDB.

Quaid and his current wife Kimberly took great care to design and decorate the home in the style of a French-style equestrian hide-away. Imported French antiques and rustic beams pulled from a Pennsylvania barn complete the look inside the home, and the addition of a horse stable on an adjacent lot that Quaid acquired completes the home's transformation, the Zillow Blog reports.

With eight bedrooms and eight-and-a-half bathrooms, there is plenty of space for prospective homebuyers to spread out. Fireplaces, a home gym and wine cellar add to the property's appeal. After a $3 million price cut, the home is available for $13.9 million, according to the source.
