Former Warren Buffett home needs buyer in the O.C.

October 13, 2011 - A beachside home that once belonged to investor Warren Buffett is ready for the moving company in Laguna Beach, California, according to Curbed.

Buffett recently spoke out about increasing taxes for the uber-wealthy, including himself, in a New York Times op-ed column, stating that, "My friends and I have been coddled too long by a billionaire-friendly congress." While Buffett may have had to play squash by himself that week at the country club, he may have earned a bevy of working class fans in the process.

The investor's former home is in the exclusive Emerald Bay community, and while it does not have direct beach access, the new homeowners will be able to enjoy sweeping ocean views after moving day. There are also private community tennis courts and a community center with a pool, Curbed explains.

Built in 1955, the home also has four bedrooms, four bathrooms and 3,103 square feet of living space. A winding spiral staircase leads to the home’s second and third stories, while floor to ceiling windows and a covered porch help blur the lines between outside and inside living spaces. The home is currently available for just under $5 million, RedFin reports.
