Elizabeth Taylor's house available to homebuyers

June 2, 2011 - The long-time home of recently deceased Hollywood legend Elizabeth Taylor has hit the California real estate market for a reported $8.6 million, according to AOL Real Estate.

The actress, who began working in films at age 10, was featured in several critically acclaimed films during her long career. Taylor first won attention as a child starring in National Velvet and went on to win further accolades for roles in films like Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. However, she was famed as much for her onscreen performances as for her personal life. Taylor married several times, repeatedly to Richard Burton, and had famous friends such as Michael Jackson, according to IMDB.

Located in the exclusive Bel-Air neighborhood, the home features five bedrooms, including a master suite. Outside, the property boasts a pool, spa, English-style gardens, koi pond and waterfall, according to AOL Real Estate. There is also a galley kitchen, screening room, powder room, and living room that is complete with a wood-burning fire place, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Taylor purchased the home in 1981 and lived there until she passed away in March at the age of 79, according to the news source.
