Michael Jackson's final residence now on the market

March 21, 2012 - The Holmby Hills home where Michael Jackson died in 2009 may now be ready for new residents to pull a moving company up to its gates, as the property has been listed for sale.

The house, located in the high-class Bel Air section of Los Angeles, was built in 2002, sits on 1.26 acres of land and includes more than 17,000 square feet of living space.

In addition to the seven bedrooms and thirteen bathrooms, the house also includes an art studio, gym, pool, movie theater, wine cellar and a separate guest house. Twelve working fireplaces are also spread throughout the property.

The listing price of $23.9 million does not include any personal effects of the late King of Pop, which were taken out by movers sold off during an auction late last year. At the time of his passing, he was renting it for a reported $100,000 per month.

Jackson died in June 2009 as he was preparing to embark on another world tour. His personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was recently sentenced to four years behind bars on involuntary manslaughter charges after giving the pop icon a powerful sedative.
