Software Engineer


The invention of the computer opened up a whole new set of careers. Almost everything we do we need to sue computers to help us. It is almost impossible to find a company today that does not have a computer and use some type of software to process work.

Software engineers design and develop operating systems for numerous different types of applications for all different types of industries including healthcare, scientific and fitness companies. They also develop applications for use at home.

Software engineers need to have completed a four-year degree at a minimum and there are certifications required depending on the software they need to work on.

Software Engineers must first and foremost be extremely computer savvy and are required to keep current on developments in computer technology and as we all know, there are always developments in this technology.

Software engineers also need to be very detail oriented and capable of working under their own initiative.
