NEW YORK – Oct. 21, 2008 – With the presidential election only two weeks away, many questions are still lingering about who will be the winning candidate: John McCain or Barack Obama. However, one thing is certain: there will be a new resident in the White House come January 2009. Therefore, Relocation the leading online consumer resource for moving services, is offering the winning candidate free moving services for his transition into the White House.

Relocation.com will coordinate the move of the new president and the new First Family’s belongings from their primary residence to the White House, including packing, transport and unpacking. The offer includes moving any goods to a selected storage facility for the next four, or possibly eight years, for the new residents.

According to the White House Gift Office, domestic gifts to the President and/or First Lady of any amount may be accepted at their discretion. If they want to keep a domestic gift, they do not have to purchase it from the government. Presidential gift restrictions apply to international gifts.

Once the election results are finalized, details of the moving package will be sent to the winning candidate to coordinate the new First Family’s move.
