Health

Relocation.com understands that your main concern is your family's health. Before you move, obtain the necessary information about health requirements, immunizations or vaccinations to ensure your records are up to date. You can also receive a list of English-speaking doctors from the local U.S. consulate or embassy. Refer to these helpful tips we have included to guide you and your family to better health abroad:
  • Before you leave have every member of your family do a health and dental check-up to ensure everyone is in good health. Also bring along a first-aid kit in the event that there are minor health problems.
  • Bring an additional supply of any medications with you in the event that they are not available immediately when you move to your new country. This will give you additional time to locate a pharmacy or make new arrangements.
  • Do a search of doctors, specialists and hospitals in your new location. If you are uncomfortable with the spoken language, hunt for English-speaking doctors.
  • You may not be eligible for coverage in your new country with your current health insurance provider. Research whether you have coverage or if you need to begin using a different provider.
