Star Wars actor Billy Dee Williams selling home in Beverly Hills

April 10, 2012 - Star Wars fans may be excited to hear that actor Billy Dee Williams, also known as Lando Calrissian, has listed his longtime Beverly Hills home for sale. The Los Angeles Times notes that he purchased the home back in 1984 for $553,000 and has listed it with an asking price of just under $2.8 million.

While Williams is most recognized for his roles in the Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, his previous film roles include Lady Sings the Blues and Brian's Song. More recently he has had guest roles on popular television dramas including General Hospital and Diary of a Single Mom.

The zen-themed home was built back in 1961 and sits on just over a half acre of land in the affluent neighborhood of Trousdale Estates. The property offers 5,295 square feet of living space including six bedrooms and six bathrooms and a guest area for house staff. Other features of the home include a swimming pool and spa, making the home perfect for entertaining.

It has not been reported where Williams will be relocating to, but he may be looking for another home with zen-like features to better focus the force.
