Songwriter Kara Dioguardi relists property in Studio City for sale

August 20, 2012 - Fans of ex-American Idol judge Kara Dioguardi may be surprised to hear that she may be moving boxes out of her Studio City home soon, as she has relisted it for sale. While she purchased the property for a reasonable $3.5 million back in 2004, it first appeared on the market near the end of last year for $10 million. It now has a slightly lower asking price just under $8 million.

While fans may recognize her from the earlier seasons of the television show, Dioguardi has been working behind the scenes writing songs for major pop stars including Britney Spears, Celine Dion and Christina Aguilera.

Photos of the home featured on its official listing showcase a French chateau-style abode, which may have been added when Dioguardi and her husband Mike McCuddy expanded and renovated the estate. After the additions, the home, which sits on more than three acres of land, now offers 7,600 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms.

While it has not been reported where the pair will be moving to, they may want to stay in the Los Angeles area, where music production remains big.
