Singing sensation Taylor Swift moving into Cape Cod mansion

August 14, 2012 - While celebrity news sites continue to speculate singer Taylor Swift is dating Conor Kennedy, son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the nephew of President John F. Kennedy, new reports say she has purchased a home in Cape Cod near the Kennedy's summer home. The estate was first listed for sale in 2010 with a $13.5 million asking price, but the pop-country star paid just $4.9 million.

Located in the Hyannis Port community, the home offers 4,400 square feet of living space including seven bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. The oceanfront property was built in 1928, and is reportedly directly across the street from where the Kennedys stay during the summer and overlooks Nantucket Sound.

Swift has been making real estate headlines throughout 2012, with multiple purchases of homes in and around Nashville, Tennessee, one of which she purchased for her parents. While it has not been reported if she will be hiring movers for the shift north, she will likely use the home as a vacation property and return to her hometown when the weather isn't so nice.
