Pop singer and actress Hilary Duff moving out of Beverly Hills home

August 10, 2012 - The Los Angeles Times reports Hilary Duff may be calling moving companies to compare prices, as her home in Beverly Hills has sold. Records show she purchased the home in 2004 for $3.5 million,but the Toluca Lake property was sold for $6.25 million, just under its asking price.

Duff got her start on the Disney Channel and is best known for her role as Lizzie McGuire. She simultaneously had a singing career and starred in a number of other films including The Cinderella Story and the Cheaper by the Dozen movies. While it has not been reported where she will be relocating to, her successful fashion lines and potential profit should help fund the moving expenses.

According to the news source, the Mediterranean-style home was built in 1951 and offers 9,277 square feet of living space including five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Other notable features of the half-acre property include its outdoor amenities including a spa and a swimming pool. The new buyers will also likely enjoy the in-home fitness center, art studio and bar area.
