Philanthropist Kelly Stone lists Sherman Oaks home for sale

May 21, 2012 - The Los Angeles Times reports that philanthropist Kelly Stone has listed her property in Sherman Oaks for sale. While records don't show how much she purchased the home for, the news source says it has come on the market with a $4.25 million asking price.

While Stone is well known for her career in marketing, she it most recognized as the sister of Hollywood actress Sharon Stone. The two founded Planet Hope together, an organization that serves homeless, abused or disadvantaged children and their families across the globe.

The mansion was built in 1946 and offers plenty of privacy sitting on half an acre of land secured by a gate. With 7,000 square feet of living space including six bedrooms and eight bathrooms, it shouldn't be long until buyers are moving boxes into the compound. The Times notes there is a separate bungalow on the property as well as a guest house above the garage. Other notable features of the estate include a swimming pool, a wine cellar, a gym and an office.

While it has yet to be reported where Stone is relocating to, she may stay in Southern California to continue working closely with her sister.
