NBA guard Joe Johnson selling Atlanta mansion after trade

August 16, 2012 - Since being traded to the Brooklyn Nets, NBA star Joe Johnson has likely been on the hunt for a new home in New York, as his Atlanta mansion has hit the market. He purchased the home back in 2005 for $3.8 million shortly after signing with the Atlanta Hawks, but the home has reappeared with a $4.7 million asking price.

The home was built in 2000 and offers a floor plan with 13,822 square feet of living space including eight bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. While the mansion offers plenty of room for another professional athlete, the fully-loaded property may also be appealing to local celebrities.

Photos of the property on the official listing showcase numerous upgrades including a sleek modern design, a bar area, a full-service salon, an in-home gym, a recording studio and a home theater.

Johnson's $19.8 million contract for this season should help cover the cost of hiring moving services when relocating to a different home, but he won't likely find a property quite as large in the city.
