Moving to an eco-friendly home in Houston

June 28, 2010 - When it comes to finding the perfect home to move to, the process can be exhausting and frustrating. But if consumers have been looking for that ideal eco-friendly home and have been yearning to move to Houston, Texas, Ashton Woods Homes may be the answer they've been looking for.

When moving, factoring in the difference in energy bills should always be taken into account. Ashton Woods' eco-friendly homes are located in eight different areas throughout Houston and are said to save consumers up to 45 percent off of their utility bills, according to home developers Great Gulf Group.

Ashton Woods' Dan Gezella, sales and marketing vice president, said that "our homes are built to a high energy-efficiency standard that saves homeowners a substantial amount of money, even when compared to a home just 10 years old."

These home developers also know that with summer being the busy moving season, schedules are tight for some. They assure their customers that homes will be available according to their move-in schedule, Great Gulf Group said.

It's important for consumers moving during the summer season to plan in advance. They should begin their preparations two to three months ahead.
