Former CA home of Hollywood star Dennis Hopper sold

August 7, 2012 - News reports say the Venice mansion previously owned by the late actor Dennis Hopper has found buyers who will be moving in after paying $5 million. The home was first listed in July 2010 after his death as a whole compound for $6.245 million with the option to buy each living unit separately.

The industrial-style main house offers 5,000 square feet of living space while three additional condos on the property add up to 9,595 square feet. In total, the property has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms along with numerous amenities including a pool house, a guest cottage and a large swimming pool.

Hopper is best known for his roles in popular films including Easy Rider, Rebel Without a Cause and Giant, while his list of guest appearances and supporting acting roles is lengthy. His list of awards is also impressive and includes nominations from the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes, while he won a number of awards including the Cannes Film Festival's best first work award in 1969 for Easy Rider.
