Courtney Love moves into new home in New York City

March 12, 2012 - The New York Daily News reports that singer Courtney Love was recently spotted moving boxes into her new townhouse in the New York City. After a lawsuit with her previous landlord of her West Village home, she has reportedly moved into the 285 Lafayette building and is paying $25,000 per month compared to her former home, which cost her $27,000. The source say she won the suit over eviction but chose to relocate anyway.

Love is best known as the lead singer of rock band Hole and for her relationship with late rock star Kurt Cobain. Native to California, the star has been living in New York for years. The paper reports that instead of having a credit check, Love gave a letter of recommendation from superstar Bono.

While details of her new rental remain unrevealed, sources have linked it to a recently pulled listing in the building of a one bedroom, one-and-a-half bathroom unit that had an asking price that matched Love's budget. She told the Daily News she has only received one complaint from neighbors for playing her records too loud too early, but said she doesn't plan on hiring a moving company anytime soon and wants to stay in the city for good.
