Actress Nicole Kidman moving out of New York City apartment

August 9, 2012 - Celebrity news sites are buzzing that Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman may be needing moving services, as she has sold her home in New York's Greenwich Village. While is has not been reported how much she purchased the home for back in 2003, the starlet originally listed the home as a rental for $45,000 a month before its recent sale for $16 million.

The 3,785-square-foot apartment is located on the 12th floor of the Meier Tower at 165 Charles Street. Other celebrities who have expressed interest in moving boxes into the building include actors Hugh Jackman and Jim Carrey. The buyer has not been named, but it could be a small celebrity family who needs the three bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms offered by the unit.

Sources speculate Kidman wanted to unload the home once her arguably favorite feature of the property,its views of the Hudson River, were obstructed by the construction of a sister building next door.

The actress and her husband, singer Keith Urban, may not be on the hunt for a new home, as they already own another apartment in the city that they purchased for $10 million back in 2011.
