Actress Julie Andrews selling home in Brentwood

April 12, 2012 - Fans of Hollywood classics including My Fair Lady and The Sound of Music may be surprised to learn that actress Julie Andrews has listed her longtime home in Brentwood, California, for sale. The Los Angeles Times reports that she is moving out of the home she shared with her late husband Blake Edwards.

Records show the movie-making couple purchased the property back in 1989 for $1.2 million but it has come on the market with an asking price of $2.649 million.

Edwards was a well-known director and screenwriter with films including Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Great Race. He also received an honorary Oscar before passing away in 2010. Andrews has starred in a number of memorable movies including Mary Poppins and Camelot and has also lent her voice to animated films including Despicable Me and Shrek Forever After.

According to the news source, the single-story home sits on just under a quarter acre of land and offers four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Notable features of the home including cathedral ceilings, glass walls and an artist's studio should have buyers calling for moving services soon.
