Actor Anton Yelchin purchases first home in Studio City

June 20, 2012 - The Los Angeles Times reports that Hollywood actor Anton Yelchin has purchased a home in Studio City for less than $1 million. The modest home was originally listed for sale in March for $999,000, but he will be moving boxes in after paying just 945,000.

Yelchin most recently found fame in Like Crazy, but has also been in other major films including Terminator Salvation and Star Trek. He will return as Pavel Chekov in a Star Trek sequel set to hit theaters in 2013.

According to the source, the English-style home was built in 1940 and sits on an acre of gated land, offering the rising star plenty of privacy. With 1,845 square feet of living space, Yelchin will have three bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms to share with visiting friends and family. Some notable features of the home include multiple fireplaces, vaulted ceilings and French doors. The outdoor amenities that likely prompted Yelchin to hire movers include a swimming pool, spa and mature landscape.
