Pueblo, Colorado

Pueblo is a very dynamic city located in South Eastern Colorado. It has a population of over 109,000 and its residents enjoy a mix of Hispanic, Slovenian and Italian cultures. Pueblo is the most populated city in the county and is considered as one of the best places to live in America. Many families are attracted to the lifestyle that they can have here so Pueblo moving companies are always busy.

Economy:
The economy of Pueblo is very progressive. This is another reason why so many families and businesses are moving to Pueblo City. Pueblo is also called the “city of steel” because it is considered to be one of the biggest steel producing cities in America. The work force of the City is diverse and the highest grossing industries are retail and services. Other prominent industries in the city are the food industry and Internet technology development.

History:
Pueblo was originally just a small settlement that was established by trappers and traders. The traders, George Simpson and Mathew Kinkead are among the first to have settled here. The original community was composed of several families and the intention was for a trading settlement to be created since the area was close to the Arkansas River. Evidence has also been found that proves the existence of trade between the original settlers and the American Indians who were living in the area.

A couple of decades later the city became one of the most progressive communities in the area. It became a major social and economic center and was home to prominent people during the early 1900s. The city was however plunged into economic depression after it was hit by several floods successively, ending with what has been called the “great flood” of 1921. A lot of buildings and businesses were lost due to the natural disaster.

Tourism:
The city of Pueblo has a lot to offer tourists. Places to visit are Bishop’s castle, Royal Gorge bridge and the Union Avenue Historic District. Visitors who want to go on a scenic tour of the countryside can also take train at the Royal Gorge Route Railroad. For those interested in biking and hiking, the City has several river trails like Lake Pueblo state park. Pueblo is also considered the surfing capital of Colorado. Kayaking, water-skiing and surfing are only a few of the fun water sports that visitors and residents can enjoy at Whitewater Park. With all of these exciting attractions, it's no wonder why Pueblo moving services are in such a high demand.

Colleges/Universities:
