Job Profile: Finance


A career in finance can be very rewarding and there are many different career paths you can take. You will need a bachelors degree at the very least to work in finance and to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) you will need to pass another set of state exams.

A CPA is qualified to audit and prepare taxes for companies and businesses.

An accountant helps companies organize their finances by preparing and analyzing company accounts, taxes and other finance related documents for filing with the government.

You may have heard of Internal Auditors and this is another career choice for finance professionals. Internal Auditors check to make sure financial records are kept accurately and in the format they need to be to comply with government regulations.

Finance professionals need to be detailed oriented, meticulous, capable of meeting continuous deadlines and effective time managers.
