What do you gain by selling?
Be realistic and ask yourself what you hope to gain by selling. Are you planning on moving to a bigger home or are you planning on renting an apartment. You may answer that you need the money from the sale to finance an operation or some other illness. If the reason is financial be sure to look and find out if you can obtain the money elsewhere such as a home equity loan.
