Should You Use a Real Estate Agent?

When you first put a "For Sale" sign outside your home you will probably be visited by more real estate agents than buyers at first. The agents will most likely tell you of the disadvantages of not using their services and provide you with a sales pitch. You could always use an agents set fee from specific consultancy type work if needed. You could also consider an open listing leaving you open to working with as many agents as you decide and the agent who brings you a buyer pockets 3 percent of the selling price. You still save approximately three percent.
