Snake
If the auger does work, you will need to use a snake, as the blockage may be farther down the line. You will need to rent out a snake with a flexible shaft to bend past the tight curve in the toilet trap.

Follow these steps
  1. Feed the flexible snake into the toilet until you feel it engages the clog.

  2. Pull the snake back a little to dislodge the clog.

  3. Flush the toilet to push the clog down the drain line and to the sewer.
