Clearing a Clogged Toilet
The clog may be the result of a blockage in the trap. The trap is the current passage inside the toilet bowl.
A chemical drain cleaner should not be used on a toilet. In general it will not remove the clog and only leaves a very small chemical smell in the bowl until the clog is cleared.
Always wash your hands and clothes thoroughly with disinfectant soap following any handling of the toilet water or waste.
There are basically three ways to unclog a toilet.
