Finding the Focal Point

All rooms have a focal point. It is often the result of an architectural feature or it can also be a piece of furniture or a painting. A focal point is the place in a room they eye is naturally drawn to. It can be a picture window, a fireplace, or a painting or armoire.

You can have more than one focal point however it is a good idea to make one stand out more than the other so they are not in competition with each other for your eyes attention. In the event you do not have a natural architectural feature to use as a focal point, the armoire or painting can be Justas effective as a focal point.
