Offers need to be in writing and should be in the form of an offer to purchase agreement drawn up by the potential buyer and their agent .The buyers agent then presents the offer to the sellers agent who in turn will go through the offer with the seller. The offer to purchase is a much simpler document than the actual standard purchase and sales agreement. The standard purchase and sales agreement is completed once the offer is accepted by the seller.
