Manufacturers generally sell inexpensive template kits for laying and cutting vinyl floors. To use a template, follow these steps..
- Cover the entire floor with overlapping template sheets and tape each piece together with masking tape.
- Carefully lift up the template, place unrolled vinyl flooring and trace the outline on to the flooring with a felt tip pen.
- Remove the template and cut the flooring with a utility knife with a new blade.
- Place the vinyl flooring in position and slide the edges under the door casings.
