Preparing Wall Surfaces

Sunday, February 13, 2011 - You can successfully apply wallpaper to a variety of surfaces if you take the necessary steps to prepare the surface. You need smooth, crack free, hole free walls with nails popped and any bumps smoothed out.

In most cases you will apply wallpaper over painted drywall or plaster walls or over existing wallpaper however you may want to apply the wallpaper over problem surfaces like plywood metal concrete or ceramic tile. If you wish to apply wallpaper over any of these surfaces you should get detailed instructions from your wallpaper dealer.
