Making the Sink Cut Out


Use a jigsaw to cut a sinkhole. A jigsaw allows you great control however be sure to use a new blade. Wear gloves and eye protection when using a jigsaw.
  1. Drill starter holes in opposite corners just inside the cutting line. Don't worry if the cut edge is rough, as the rim of the sink will cover this.

  2. Place the blade of the jigsaw in the starter hole and line up the blade exactly on the cutting line.

  3. Cut along the lien slowly and let the saw do the work.

Ask a helper to support the cut out area so that the piece doesn't drop and cause the saw blade to bind.
