History:
The Tocobaga were the first who inhabited Largo until the 16th century when the Spanish came to Florida and took over. It was through a series of conquest that Spain won Largo from the English. Largo became part of the United States after the invasion of Andrew Jackson. The population of Largo survived through cattle citrus farming, farming and ranching, and with the population raising and dropping during the Great Depression, since Largo was not financially capable to sustain its growth and people. After World War II, Largo became successful and population increased alongside the boost in economy and trade. Largo was incorporated in June 6, 1905 and is the third largest city of the Pinellas Country in Florida.
