Moreno Valley, California

Moreno Valley is a large community located in Riverside County, California. It has a population of over 192,000 with almost 50 percent of the residents being Hispanic. The valley residents are a peaceful community with a relaxed lifestyle. The city is close enough to both San Diego and Los Angeles that driving to them is an easy hour or two trip. This makes moving to Moreno Valley a great option for people who need to be near Los Angeles or San Diego for work but don’t want to live in either of the two cities.

Economy:
The economy of Moreno Valley has recently experienced substantial growth. Different stores and businesses have been popping up and the city is now home to large corporations like Wall mart, Starbucks, Philips and Harman Kardon. The market in the area is steadily growing and there is ample supply of employees from the local colleges and universities. With all the business opportunities available, moving to California Moreno Valley is a great idea for companies seeking to expand their business.

History:
Morenno Valley was originally divided into three communities. The original three were Sunnymead, Edgemont and Moreno. They sprung as a result of the construction of March Air field which was built in 1918 when the US was planning for the First World War. March field was closed in 1922 and reopened in 1927 as a training center for pilots.

The three communities were originally under the governance of Riverside County. The residents wanted autonomy thus they voted to merge all three communities into one independent city in 1984. There were two previous attempts to incorporate the communities but these failed and it was on the third attempt that the new independent city was finally formed.

Tourism:
Two popular places to visit in the city are the CrossWinds Community Theatre and the March Field Air Museum. The community theater is composed local artists who seek to provide entertainment to both the locals and visitors. The Museum on the other hand houses many of the planes that used to be stationed in the area. Aside from the different planes on display they also have a couple of ballistic missile exhibits. The city also has a couple of golf courses that might interest tourists who enjoy the sport. For visitors looking to have a picnic, going to one of Moreno Valley’s apple picking orchards might be a great way to spend an afternoon. If you’re looking for a place to spend the night then Ayres Hotel & Spa Moreno Valley, Hampton Inn & Suites Moreno Valley and Best Western Moreno Hotel & Suites are only a few of the available accommodations. A couple of the recommended places to eat are China Garden, Joe's Italian Restaurant and Bj's Restaurant & Brewery.
