Online courses can help homebuyers find deals

March 2, 2010 - Individuals who are interested in purchasing real estate may want to consider consulting a real estate agent or taking classes that can help them analyze deals.

The Real Estate Investing Minute, an internet-based show that offers tips and news for homebuyers, has announced the availability of an online course that will teach prospective purchasers investment tips and how to identify the best deals.

Over the course of six weeks, class participants will learn how to generate leads, network with realtors to bring in free foreclosure listings and determine the value of retail properties. Cash flow property analysis will also be discussed.

Each course will last one hour and be divided between 30 to 40 minutes of lecture followed by question-and-answer sessions.

Judson Voss, co-host and producer of the show, said the classes are intended to "deliver the real estate investing education content when and where it is convenient."

Similar educational opportunities could help prospective homeowners get a better handle on how the market works before they make any offers. Talking to realtor beforehand may also help these individuals make sure that they do not get swindled.
