Who is AMSA?

Established in 1936, the American Moving and Storage Association is a non profit trade association based out of Washington D.C. With more than 3,500 professional mover members, AMSA is dedicated to making your move successful every step of the way. AMSA moving company members are professional movers moving interstate household goods (between states). In addition, these companies may provide intrastate and local moving services as well as storage in a warehouse. AMSA represents all facets of the moving and the storage industry: van lines, agents, independent movers, forwarders, international movers, auto transporters, suppliers and others.

AMSA carefully screens its mover members, ensuring that consumers are matched to movers who have met all licensing and insurance requirements, and providing for arbitration of disputes between consumers and movers through its "Household Goods Dispute Settlement Program." One of AMS''s goals is a well-informed public that better understands the value of professional moving service.

The American Moving and Storage Association is a member-driven and offers a complete range of services to its members.

AMSA members transport between 1.3 and 1.5 million households each year.

Bradenton, Florida

Bradenton, Florida is the beach paradise that we have all been waiting for. It’s not crowded like the rest of the beaches in America. The area is still a low-key, local clandestine destination to visit when you want to relax or explore a quaint down-to-earth town. Along Florida’s Gulf Coast next to Anna Maria Islands and Longboat Key is Brandenton, Florida. There are antique shops, restaurants, bungalows and funky galleries that are neatly dispersed throughout town. There the South Florida Museum, the Bishop Planetarium, Parker Manatee Aquarium and the South Florida Museum. It’s no wonder that people keep moving to Brandenton to be permanently surrounded by beaches and trendy places to hand out. Businesses aren’t the only ones with booming flow of people; Brandenton moving companies are also busy with new patrons every day.

Economy:
Tourists may not know about Bradenton’s beautiful beaches, but corporate companies have taken their place in Bradenton many years ago. Tropicana Products, one of the world’s most successful producers of orange juice, was founded in Bradenton, Florida by Italian immigrant Anthony T. Rossi. There are over 8,000 being employed by Tropicana now. Pepsi Co. currently owns Tropicana, its headquarters are now in Chicago, but Tropicana juice production still remains its original city. Other top employers in the area include the Manatee County School Board, the Manatee County Government, Manatee Memorial Hospital, Blake Medical Center, the Sheriff’s Department, SYSCO West Coast Food Distribution Company and the city government.

Tourism:
Locals say they like to keep it simple in Bradenton. There are dozens of beaches and beach towns surrounding Bradenton. There is an Anna Maria Bayfront Park on Anna Maria Island where people are always avid to walk, fish and surf. From Downtown Bradenton, you are only three miles away on Highway 64. Palma Sola Causeway is right in Bradenton—you can bring your children, family members, friends and dogs for a relaxing afternoon of sailing, wind surfing, jet skiing, fishing and picnicking.

History:
Bradenton, Florida was founded by Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto in the late 1530s. It is said that Soto landed at Shaw’s Point after trying to look for El Dorado. Bradenton was not named until later, after a Doctor Joseph Braden settled on the land and grew acres and acres of sugarcane crop. The current city was formed in 1943 when the City of Manatee and the City of Bradentown became modern-day Bradenton.
