Beware
They switched the truck from a medium sized box truck they used to pick up my things, to a 75-foot semi-truck 18-wheeler, without telling me until the delivery day. The morning of the delivery, the dispatcher told me that if the semi-truck couldn't get to me, there would be an additional $455.00 charge to switch my belongings back to a medium sized box truck that could maneuver its way to my new home down 2 lane country roads. I had no idea they could do such a thing, and will not use them again. The very smooth salesman did not tell me this was a possibility.
Moving men that picked up the items at my home in CT said the medium sized box truck would be the one making the delivery in MD. They broke several items, including an antique inlaid coffee table, an antique hat rack, and several glass items in transit.

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us. I am sorry that you had damage during your move, this is certainly not our intention. A claim is costly to us and a pain for you the customer and for that I am sorry. You were, however, not charged for shuttle service at destination and would not have been if we had to perform that service if, based on what you posted here, actually happened. Adhering to load and deliver dates are extremely important to movers and the customer. We have handled anywhere from 5000 - 7000 moves a year, depending on the year. While not preferred, changing trucks happens in this industry every once in a while to make sure that dates are met. I agree that a phone call should always be made in the event of a transfer. Wish you well in your new home.
