Poor Customer Service
I have moved several times and this, by far, was the worst experience I have had with a moving company. The relocation "expert" made a mistake (which he did take verbal responsibility for) scheduling the move out of state.
Subsequently, however, my belongings did not arrive until 4 days after my move date requiring me to postpone my start date with my new company. I understand mistakes are made but the handling of the mistake and the inappropriate, rude and indifferent responses from the owner proved to make negotiation impossible.
I was told a different arrival time each and every time I called as requested by the moving company. Additionally, the movers damaged every single box that they moved. Not only were things broken inside the boxes, but even the things that the movers "expertly" wrapped for delivery were shattered.
I would not recommend this company. People make mistakes but it is the way in which those mistakes are "corrected" or handled that sets the tone of an experience. This was not a good experience at all.

This to acknowledge the receipt of the complaint. America Van Line has moved Mrs. Reynolds on Fri. 6/11/09 and delivered her goods on Mon. 6/15/09.Our normal delivery time frame is between 1 and 21 business days from her first available date which was the next day (6/12/09). Customer has signed terms and conditions that states that as well:
“THE DELIVERY TIME FRAME OF 1 to 21 BUSINESS DAYS BEGINS ON YOUR FIRST AVAILABLE DATE. DELIVERY TIME FRAMES ARE CALCULATED IN BUSINESS DAYS ONLY.” We have been on time with the delivery according to the contract. They may have been misunderstanding between Mrs. Reynolds and Mr. Westcott (the sales person) with the delivery date but we do not guarantee delivery time. (Mr. Westcott understood from her that the 12th was the last date she needed to clear the storage so he schedules a day before pick up).
All items were packed by Mrs. Reynolds (pbo). The only things we used were pads and tape for wooden, non fragile items. Mrs. Reynolds never called to date (6/22/09) to file any complaints. America Van Line representative came especially on Sunday the 14th, when we are closed, to load Mrs. Reynolds shipment to go to MA. Respectfully, Kfir David Avraham
