Good Service/Hidden Charges
Based on the fact that the rate is based on move/hour, I was a little hesitant that the movers would take their time in a way to drive up the price. However, they moved very quickly and handled all of our belongings with extra care. They were very curteous and on time as well.
The only sour note is that we were quoted $300. They tell you that you will be charged a 5% fee if you use your credit card and also a 5% gas fee and also an extra $75 for each additional hour. By my calculations that had me paying an extra $30 for a total of $330 if done in 3 hours.
They ended up taking 3 1/2 hrs and charging for a full extra hour of $75 and then charged $75 for gas (don't know where they got that) and also charged $120 for plastic wrap they used on the furniture (which I didn't know about and asked they didn't use, but hey, insisted based on liability issues). They also charged me for the tape that they used.
They "throw" the blankets in for free. All in all I'd say that the service is good, but that there were definately hidden fees.
